Lovebird
Media

Wedding photos and films that already felt luxury. A website that finally said so.

Lovebird Media is Han and Joel Bruning, a husband-and-wife photography and film team based in Perth, shooting weddings across WA and overseas. Their work had moved upmarket. Their website hadn't, and it was quietly pricing them against the wrong couples.

Wedding Photography & Film

01‍ ‍Background

Han takes the photos. Joel makes the films.

Together they've built Lovebird Media on calm, documentary coverage that couples rave about long after the day. That includes deep experience with cross-cultural weddings most photographers never see, and a destination wedding in Italy.

The work had grown into luxury territory. The website hadn't followed. It was warm and friendly, but it presented Lovebird as a mid-market option: weddings and commercial work side by side, pricing tucked away on a separate page, and nothing that signalled the calibre of wedding they wanted next.

The couples Han and Joel most wanted to book, planner-led weddings at venues like the region's best wineries, were landing on a site that didn't speak to them. The job was to close the gap between what Lovebird delivers and what the website promised.

02‍ ‍ ‍Our Approach

The Blueprint settled the hard questions first.

Three decisions from the Strategic Blueprint workshop shaped everything after it.

01

Positioning

Speak to the couples they want next.

The site was written for planner-led, beautifully styled weddings, not for everyone getting married. Lovebird's real point of difference, a calm presence on the day and genuine experience with complex cultural ceremonies, is told through their couples' own words rather than adjectives.

02

Pricing

Put the prices on the page.

Most luxury suppliers say “enquire for pricing”. Lovebird now shows their packages openly, season-dated and with every inclusion listed. The right couples self-select before they enquire, so first calls start with “when”, not “how much”.

03

Presentation

Let the work set the tone.

Lovebird shoots film, so the site borrows its language: a film-loop hero, a ticking timecode, weddings presented as prints. Each featured wedding opens a curated edit of 50 to 100 images, shown in varied sizes so the day reads like a story. Phase One was kept to three focused pages, with the next pages already mapped for when they're needed.

03 ‍How We Delivered It

Launched October 2026, with every old link still working.

At a glance

  • Custom three-page Squarespace build: Home, Weddings and Contact

  • Film-loop hero, ticking timecode, review marquee and print-card wedding features

  • Season-dated packages with itemised inclusions and a downloadable package guide

  • Studio Ninja enquiry form restyled, with a thank-you page so every enquiry is tracked

  • 301 redirects for all 15 old URLs, plus Search Console, GA4 and Bing on launch day

The site was built from scratch on Squarespace rather than reworked from the old one, with custom code for the film details that give it its feel. Han and Joel reviewed every page in Markup, commenting directly on the live build, which kept feedback specific and rounds short.

Launch day covered the technical side people rarely see: every old page redirected so existing links and rankings carried over, analytics and search tools connected, and enquiries measurable from day one. Han and Joel were trained to run the site themselves, with two weeks of support after launch.

04 ‍What it produced

The foundations are live. The numbers come next.

Launched 20 October 2026. Enquiry tracking is in place, and results will be added once the data has matured. The next pages are already mapped in the Blueprint, ready for when Lovebird needs them.

From the positioning work

The site speaks to the couples they want.

Every page is written for planner-led, styled weddings, with real reviews doing the persuading.

From the pricing work

Couples arrive knowing the investment.

Packages are on the page, so enquiries come from couples who have already said yes to the price.

From the presentation work

The work leads, and looks the part.

Curated edits and print-card features show the standard of every wedding, not just the volume.
