Little Otto’s Big Choc Shop needed a whimsical, story-driven website to bring to life the tale of Otto, the chocolate-blowing whale, and his best mate Daisy. The brief included a Shopify build that balanced playful storytelling with practical functionality—creating a site that feels like an adventure while laying the groundwork for online shopping, event promotion, and a members-only club. Designed to be as fun as it is functional, the site reflects the brand’s larger-than-life personality while remaining easy to update and expand as the business grows.

Project Overview

Little Otto’s Big Choc Shop was brought to life with a fully customised Shopify website built on a premium theme. The project included designing a vibrant, interactive homepage that introduces the brand’s playful story, building product and event pages, setting up a “Taste Buds” membership system, and integrating Klaviyo for email marketing.

A special focus was placed on storytelling and user experience—creating a journey that feels guided by Otto and Daisy themselves. The site was structured in two stages: the initial launch in January showcasing the brand and capturing sign-ups, followed by the launch of the online store in April. The result is a whimsical, easy-to-manage digital space that supports sales, community engagement, and future growth.

Little Otto’s is a whimsical chocolate shop based in Busselton, inspired by the (mostly true) tale of an unlikely friendship between a local girl named Daisy and a colossal blue whale named Otto. Together, they’ve created a space where imagination runs wild and chocolate flows freely—literally. The brand blends storytelling, local charm, and a touch of magic to deliver chocolate that’s as fun as it is delicious. With exclusive events, surprise giveaways, and a growing cast of illustrated characters, Little Otto’s is more than a shop—it’s an adventure.
